Clicking Again...

After a few months away from photography while my wife was pregnant and following the birth of our daughter, I am finding myself wanting to get back into the swing.

During my time away I really cut back on my outlay and have let go of my website, and other paid-for online services.  In the coming months, after a little re-branding and deciding on what I actually want to achieve from photography, I will be increasing my digital and personal presence.

The first big step for me was put into motion a few weeks ago, and I am honoured and excited to have been asked to display some of my work in a local pottery cafe, thanks to the lovely folks at Brooklyn Pottery on Shaw Heath in Stockport.  From our discussions, the plan is to get some of my work on the walls to show and sell (with a bit of luck!) and get the papers in to launch the collection, possibly with a few nibbles and a glass of wine to raise our collective profiles in the area.  It should be excellent!

I have been frantically trying to find some of my best (in my opinion) work and get it prepared to be printed, searching online for quality and (more importantly, at the moment) cheap printers and frame wholesalers.  I have been quite stressed about the whole thing really - just ask Cheryl...

I know this is something I am going to have to get used to if I want to get somewhere with my art, but as it's the first time for me I think I'm going to cut myself some slack.  I'm sure when it's all together everything will be just fine.

I don't have any definite dates for the showing just yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post them on here and probably on Twitter/Facebook too.

  1. Looking forward to seeing some photos posted up on this blog as well as seeing them on the walls in Stockport's Brooklyn Pottery...
